Together with Frank Sonntag I have created a new Mastodon instance: FediScience, a friendly place where scientists can let their hair down.

This will be/stay my private, sometimes German and local (#Bonn) account.
There is now a Mastodon instance for publishing scientists: FediScience.
Everyone is welcome from PhD student to professor, as well as researchers from outside of academia. You are welcome to stay afterwards, but it is also easy to change to another server.
There will be a lot of science talk on this server, but there is no need to only talk science

Or if you post a reply from your other account there and it'll be easier to spontaneously click follow from my current interface.

As far as I can see you can see all members and if you click on them you can see all their toots. If not we should change that.
(If you copy the URL of someone's account in your own Mastodon instance search box, you will see the account and can easily follow.)
@VictorVenema @VictorVenema I don't know myself, I had nothing in specific in mind. Something that boosts all toots sounds a bit too spammy. :)
Yup, sure, that's true, I just wanted to sand down that awkward step. I think the less friction there is the faster it'll grow.
