I am using XCMS, an R-package to analyse chromatography (MS) data.


If beautiful chromatographic peaks are not assigned by the software.... That may be because the chromatogram lacks background noise to fit a baseline/background 🤯

Good example that algorithms in big data analysis are built for a dedicated purpose. Wanna deviate? First check what the function you're using is doing!
